Yard Dog
A yard dog competition is a popular event in rural and agricultural communities where working dogs showcase their skills in herding and managing livestock, typically sheep. These competitions are designed to test a dog’s ability to maneuver livestock through a series of obstacles and tasks, simulating the work they would do on a farm.
Yard dog competitions are a highlight at many agricultural shows, including the Queanbeyan Show, showcasing the incredible skill and teamwork between dogs and their handlers.
Pavilion
Pavilions serve as central hubs for visitors to explore a wide range of items, typically representing the best of the region’s agricultural, artistic, and culinary talents.
Pavilions are a key part of the agricultural show experience, providing a space where the community can come together to celebrate its achievements, share knowledge, and enjoy the diverse talents of its members.
